Durability: Quartz counter tops are made from crushed quartz crystals set in resin. The main reason for this is that
quartz formations are not large enough to be made in counter top size pieces. Quartz is one of the hardest natural occurring
material in nature, making it ideal for demanding applications.

Stain Resistance: Although it is possible to stain quartz, depending on color, quartz is considered highly resistant to
staining compared with other counter top types. One other benefit of quartz is there is no need for sealing.

The Downside...
Well... the downside is actually minor. Compared to some other counter top types (granite, laminate)
quartz is limited in color selection. One of the reasons we feature so many brands is to offer a wider selection of colors. Pricing of
quarts is medium to high, the main factors being color and brand. Edge profile can also affect price to a lesser extent.
